General Information - End of Service Dates
Geomet version 6.66.002 and earlier is designed to work with Microsoft®
Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 2000 and Windows XP
operating systems.
Helmel Engineering supports all Geomet software products to operate on a
Microsoft Windows platform based on the published dates for the specific
Windows platform. These policies are published on the
Microsoft Support
Lifecycle policy page and specific product lifecycle dates can be
found here.

We attempt to track the Geomet Software Level, Windows Operating System
and related equipment for all our customers. It is a daunting task and
almost impossible to keep current. At various times you may want to upgrade
your gear. Buying a new computer and installing it has become a relative
easy task. When that happens on a Geomet system, we ask that you keep us
informed.
When
we distribute upgrades during June and December of every year, we can
eliminate problems by sending those upgrades targeted for your system.
Windows XP
To locate your operating system, use the <Start> button on the
Title Bar of Windows and right-click over the My Computer item. A System
Properties dialog will appear as show at right. You can also reach
this information using:
[Start→Control Panel→System]

Although Geomet is designed to work with all the operating systems listed
above, not all CMM Interfaces are compatible as they are designed to work
only with a specific operating system, or systems. The CMM Interface is a software driver
that resides between the CMM hardware and the Geomet software. It provides
the communication link between the two.
