Welcome to the next generation of Geomet! Released in June 2006, this
release is available to all Software Service Contract (SSC) customers and
Dealers that have a demonstration CMM free of charge. If you do not have a
valid SSC, please contact our
Sales Department.
Domestic SSC customers will receive this version on a CD with
shipments commencing June 2006.
The full CD installation files are available as a download. If you wish
to download the files, please follow these steps:

Download and Read the
Installation guide. There has been important changes to the security
system now used by Geomet. This new security procedure requires a
activation which can only be accomplished by contacting Helmel. |

Download
the new Geomet Version 6.66 installer file. Save this file to your
Desktop.

Obtain the password to open the Installation file. |

Start the installation process by launching the file setup.exe and
follow the instructions to install Geomet. |

Microsoft DirectX
Geomet requires Microsoft DirectX that provides
multimedia support. If your system does not currently have DirectX, please
download from the
Microsoft DirectX Home Page.
If you are upgrading your current Geomet, this step is not required.

When the installation is completed, launch Geomet which will start
with the Authorization process. If the authorization has not been
previously complete, you will be prompted to Authorize your new
Geomet. You can submit a request for
Authorization on-line here, or by
e-mail as described
in the Installation Guide. |

Your
Upgrade package may included a pre-paid addressed envelope. This
envelope is for returning the hardware security module, as shown
here. This security module is the Geomet license and can be found
attached to the parallel (printer) port of your Geomet computer
system. With the latest version of Geomet 6.66, the hardware module
is the property of Helmel Engineering Products, Inc. and should be
returned as defined under the license agreement. |
