Geomet provides a information balloon tool used to
identify features within the CAD Graphics area. These
information balloons are designed for identifying the
selected features both the CAD Graphics area, but also
in the results report.
Using Information Balloons
Information
Balloons are available to all levels of Geomet.
These balloons provide a short name and
corresponding feature number within a rectangle
and a leader line connecting the information
balloon with the point on the feature selected.
Information balloons are not part of the
inspection program and are used only on demand.
Combining Information Balloons with the Screen
Shot Tool makes an effective User Prompt in
describing an inspection step.
Activating and Setting Information Balloon Parameters
Information
Balloons have setup parameters accessed from the
System Options tool. These parameters are:
Activate Balloons in CAD Graphics on feature selections
Border/Leader color for information balloons
Fill color for information balloons
Text color for information balloons
To display all parameters, type "balloons" in
the Quick Search data field to filet the System
Options.
Positioning Information Balloon in the CAD Graphics
Information
Balloons can be repositioned within the CAD
Graphics area. To move a balloon, move your
mouse over an existing balloon and its cursor
changes to a panning icon.
Hold down the
left mouse button and move the mouse. The
balloon will follow the mouse movements. When
the balloon is at its new position, release the
left mouse button.
